Wismec Reuleaux RX300 Review. Quad 18650 Monster
I know why you are checking out our Wismec Reuleaux RX300 review. You are the type of person who always wants more. More power, more adventure, more pushing the limits. Well the new quad 18650 Reuleaux RX300 will certainly let you visit the hairy edges of vaping and stay there for a while. Designed by JayBo and infused wih cutting edge technology, the RX300 mod is a hunk of vapor power that is going to be very popular with adventurous vapers.
The RX300 is a handful. It measures 81 mm or 3.2 inches tall. The mod is 58 mm or 2.3 inches wide and, the dimension you have been waiting for, 24 mm or 1.7 inches thick. The rectangular shape makes this like a brick of vapor power. You are holding a device with four 18650 batteries aboard. You know it’s going to have some weight to it! But that weight is mitigated by incorporating carbon fiber into the construction.
We were eagerly anticipating completing our Wismec Reuleaux RX300 review but it is not our first 300 watt mod. We reviewed the Koopor Primus a few months back and were impressed. The Primus operated on three 18650 batteries so you could get to 300 watts but it didn’t make sense to vape at 300 for extended periods of time. With four 18650s that math changes. That is if you want 300 watts.
Who Is The Reuleaux RX300 For?
Do you need a mod that lets you vape at 300 watts? For most of you, honestly, the answer is no. There moight be occasions where you do want 300 watts for a few hits to make some monster clouds. The atomizer resistance range in variable power mode for the Rx300 is 0.1 ohms. At that resistance the max amp output would be about 40 amps. In variable power mode 300 watts is a bit of overkill. But if you want the ability to dial it in then why not.
Now in temperature control mode the RX300 mod will work with atomizers with a resistance as low as 0.05. So you might draw 300 watts to maintain high temperatures with very low resistance TC coil wires. The bottom line is that advanced vapers and cloud chasers who build and vape ultra low resistance coils would be the people who might actually get a lot of use from this kind of power.
All of this is not to say that the Wismec Reuleaux RX300 is not a good fit for your vaping. I don’t vape anywhere close to 300 watts but I am excited to have a Reuleaux RX300. Why? because those four 18650 batteries mean that I can go days between having to recharge. The battery life you can get vaping at 80 watts with four batteries is a game changer for many of us looking for longer battery life.
Why Buy The Reuleaux RX300?
The number one advantage of the Wismec Reuleaux is the amazing range of vaping experiences that you can access with this device. As we will go over in our Wismec Reuleaux RX300 review, this mod has a variety of advanced vaping selections that meets the needs of multiple styles of vaping. But a lot of mods do, right? So who would want this one? Number one, people who like JayBo and the Wismec mods will probably love this device.
But what if you have never used any JayBo designed or Wismec mods before and that is not a buying factor for you? Why would you be interested in the RX 300 mod? I think the main reasons that you might be interested is the ability to have so much power as well as enjoying the extended battery life that you can get from four 18650 batteries. So, in a nutshell, the answer is that you should take a look at this mod if you are interested in either power or longevity or both.

By the way, the massive battery capacity that the RX300 mod has can be transferred to your mobile device. So if your cell phone is running low and you have plenty of battery juice on your mod, then you can actually use the power from the RX300 to charge your cell phone. I don’t know how often you would use this feature but I could definitely see it coming in handy as a back up power source from time to time.
Wismec Reuleaux RX300 Review
Moving into the nuts and bolts of our Wismec Reuleaux RX300 review, lets talk about how it’s all put together. It is a quad 18650 mod, as you know, with a range from 1 watt up to 300 watts. The spring loaded 510 connection is very well designed and will accommodate even large diameter tanks or RDAs. A 30 mm diameter tank or RDA will have a slight overhang. If you own the Wismec Reuleaux RX200 note that the 510 connection on the RX 300 has been redesigned.
The buttons and screen are larger on the RX300 than on the RX200. The buttons are very sturdy and click nicely. Very good build quality. The screen is 0.96 inches so a very large screen that displays a lot of data including the status of each individual 18650 battery.
The battery door is located on the underside of the mod and locked in place by a lock that secures all of the batteries in place. Once the battery door is locked down, there is no battery rattle. Everything fits snug and secure. With the batteries aboard the RX300 weighs in at about 440 grams or 15.5 ounces.
Another big plus that we want to mention in our Wismec Reuleaux RX 300 review is the fact that this device does have upgradeable firmware. Mods with upgradeable firmware allow you to implement new technology in an existing device. That way you can access new technology as it becomes available without having to buy a whole new mod. You can also access the firmware to upload a personal logo to appear on the OLED screen if you want.

Wismec Reuleaux And JayBo
Wismec and US based vape designer JayBo have teamed up on several successful electronic cigarette designs. The previous version of JayBo’s Wismec Reuleaux is the RX200 200 watt e-cigarette mod. If anything characterizes the designs I would say that the intent and result is to make advanced vaping easy, comfortable and reliable. The RX 200 is a proven commodity on the vaping business and I have no doubt that time will prove the RX300 to be equally popular successful.
Now a design does not become popular and successful if it does not deliver the goods. Wismec mods and JayBo do deliver the goods. Not only with the RX200 and now the RX 300 but also on other design collaborations as well.
The last mod kit that JayBo designed for Wismec is the Reuleaux RX75 mod kit. The RX75 is a 75 watt TC mod kit that is great for new vapers or any vaper looking for a compact, stealthy mod. It comes with the atomizer tank making it a complete kit. So if you want a smaller mod you might want to take a look.
Wismec and JayBo also teamed up on an innovative RTA, a rebuildable tank atomizer. Basically an RTA performs like a dripper but with an e-liquid reservoir built in. JayBo designed the Wisemc Theorem RTA for coil builders. The atomizer deck is large and versatile. In fact, the Theorem would make a good partner for the Reuleaux RX300.
Vaping The RX300 Mod
The background on Wismec and JayBo collaborations is very impressive. Devices like the RX200, RX75 and the Theorem have proven themselves to be long-term, excellent performers. It is because of this proven track record that we feel confident publishing our Wismec Reuleaux RX300 review after only a week of testing. We put this mod through its paces quickly and it excelled. It vapes magnificently and we feel like it is the best quad 18650 on the market right now.
The vaping performance that you get from JayBo’s Wismec Reuleaux RX300 is outstanding. The RX300 chipset is very responsive and the temperature control is excellent. Scrolling through options and choosing your preferred vaping mode is a quick and user friendly process. It is a handful but the power that you have access to is obviously impressive.
I did not vape it consistently at high wattage or temp settings, but we did test it at the highest settings and it absolutely delivers. I had it up to 260 watts with my Smok TFV8 vape tank and wow, is all I can say. Although I did not vape it often at 260 because that type of heat and vapor production is not my everyday vape! But it does take you to the edge and let’s you hang out for a while that’s for sure.
We had to build a very low resistance stainless steel coil to push the temp control vaping to the limits. We were able to build one with a resistance of 0.06 and at high temperatures it was surprisingly smooth with off the charts vapor.
As I was testing for the Wismec Reuleaux RX300 review, I was more inclined to vape as per my typical standard. At 80 watts, the battery life is obviously incredible. So that’s about the size of it. The conclusion of the Wismec Reuleaux RX300 review is that this device delivers. It vapes brilliantly. The quad 18650 design provides both a very long lasting power source and / or a very powerful output for the advanced builders and cloud chasers.
As fate would have it, while using this mod before filing the Wismec Reuleaux RX300 review, I was away from home and my cell phone was on fumes. I had the RX300 adapter cable and was able to charge my phone enough to get through the day. Using the RX300 as a power bank was not my intention but it did turn out to be handy. So I have to give that a mention and count that feature as a plus.
The RX300 is very large and not exactly pocket friendly! This is not a compact mod. This device is for serious vaping. There are two versions that you can get. The carbon fiber version sells for $92.60 and the aluminum version sells for $66.80. The carbon fiber version is very attractive and a touch lighter and the RX300 aluminum version has leather stickers for aesthetics and grip. Functionally, they are both the same.
If you are a power mad vaper, this may be what you have been waiting for!
